Task force finds nearly $25,000 worth of drugs in Columbiana Co. homes

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) — The Columbiana County Drug Task Force served two search warrants Tuesday, leading to the discovery of nearly $25,000 worth of drugs in homes in Liverpool and Madison Townships, according to a press release.

The Task Force, aided by several local and federal agencies, searched 15838 Johnson Road, residence of Michael Byers. Police later arrested Byers for receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony. Authorities found over $1,200 in cash and $1,000 worth of cocaine at the residence, the release said.

The agencies also raided 373 9th Avenue in East Liverpool, the residence of Detrick Orrell, finding $8,000 worth of cocaine and $15,000 worth of heroin, as well as a large amount of counterfeit currency, according to the release.

Further charges are pending in the case.
