Scrappers’ Zimmer sits out twinbill

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Cleveland Indians first-round draft pick Bradley Zimmer is still waiting to make his professional debut for the Scrappers.

The University of San Francisco product sat out Thursday’s doubleheader against the Auburn Doubledays, and will likely play his first game for Mahoning Valley on the 4-game road trip beginning at Batavia on Friday.

The Scrappers won game one of the doubleheader 3-0, but dropped the nightcap, 2-0.

Mahoning Valley drops to 3-4 on the season, and returns to home action Tuesday June 24th against Batavia.
