YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A woman is lucky after a large tree narrowly missed falling on her car as she was driving in Mill Creek MetroParks on Thursday morning.

A MetroParks spokeswoman said a large tree fell about 7:45 a.m. as the woman was driving on Memorial Hill Drive near Lake Glacier. The large tree fell behind the woman’s car, but brought down a smaller tree and several power lines with it.

The woman ran over the small tree and some of the branches fell onto her car, doing minimal damage.

When the MetroParks officer arrived, he saw the downed wires and immediately called Ohio Edison. Once it was deemed safe, the branches were removed from the small tree and the woman continued her drive to work, the park spokeswoman said.
