Teens not injured in Fowler rollover crash

FOWLER, Ohio (WKBN) — A 16-year-old girl and her teen passenger are OK after her car rolled over Friday morning on King Graves Road near the airport.

The Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened about 9:45 a.m. The patrol said the driver first went off the north side of the road, overcompensated, went airborne and rolled over several times, with her car ending up in a grassy area on the south side of King Graves Road.

The teens suffered minor scrapes and bruises but the patrol said because they were buckled in, they walked away from the crash.

“So young driver with inexperience who was probably going a little fast, which we see all the time. But because both driver and passenger were wearing seat belts, fortunately they get to go home,” said trooper Lauren Merz.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash, but said the driver is expected to be cited.

About an hour later, a man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in downtown Warren. Police said just before 11 a.m., a woman went through the intersection at Mahoning Avenue and Market Street and hit another car.

The driver of the other car had minor injuries.
