…Mike Benevides has been with the Lions’ program for the past 11 years serving as the special teams coordinator (2003-07), defensive coordinator (2008-11) and presently the head coach (2012-Present). Coach Benevides’ group has won 24 games in the regular season in his tenure as the leader of the Lions. However, they’ve been unable to register a victory in the post-season (0-2).

Calgary Stampeders

…John Hufnagel has recorded double-digit win seasons in each of his six years as the Stampeders’ head coach (74-33-1). The McKees Rocks native and former Montour quarterback was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 14th round of the 1973 draft out of Penn State. He spent eight seasons as an assistant coach in the NFL, most recently for the New York Giants as their offensive coordinator in 2004 to 2006.

…Last year’s Grey Cup champions were led by last year’s CFL Coach of the Year, Corey Chamblin. After posting a 13-23 record during the regular season in 2011 to 2012, the Roughriders won their first championship in the past five years.

…First-year head coach Mike O’Shea was Toronto’s special team coordinator for the past four years (2010-13). A former 1st-round pick by the Eskimos in 1993, O’Shea was a 1-time CFL All-Star (1999) and a 3-time Grey Cup champ as a player (1996, 1997, 2004).

*-Bowman is a former Liberty Leopard graduate. Number 38 is beginning his 5th season in the CFL and his 2nd with the Ti-Cats. During his first three years (in Winnipeg), Bowman compiled 153 tackles and 9 sacks.
…The former Ole Miss quarterback now begins his second season as the head coach in Hamilton. Austin was the offensive coordinator for Ole Miss from 2008 to 2010. Kent played 10-seasons in the CFL (1987-96) where he compiled 36,030 yards passing and 191 touchdown tosses (57.6%).

Montreal Alouettes
Head Coach: Tom Higgins, 1st year
2013 Record: 8-10 (3rd Place)
2014 1st Round Draft Choice: David Foucault, OL/Montreal (5th pick)
Last Grey Cup Championship: 2010

…Tom Higgins is serving his third stint as a head coach in the CFL. He won the 91st Grey Cup in 2003 as the head coach of the Eskimos. He left Edmonton in 2004 for the same position in Calgary. There he finished with three straight losses in the Divisional semifinal round (2005-07).

Ottawa RedBlacks

…This will be the inaugural season of the RedBlacks. What is a redblack, you ask? The team mascot is a lumberjack named “Big Joe Mufferaw”, who is a folk legend….Rick Campbell served as the Stampeders’ defensive coordinator over the past two seasons.

Toronto Argonauts
Head Coach: Scott Milanovich, 3rd year
2013 Record: 11-7 (1st Place)

…The 16-time Grey Cup Champions saw a jump of 2 wins from the previous season. However, in 2012 with their 9-9 regular season mark, the Argos won the Grey Cup. Last year, they lost in the Eastern Finals. Coach Milanovich begins his third-year as the team’s leader. He served as Montreal’s offensive coordinator for the previous four seasons (2008-11).

Notes regarding 2014 season
…With the addition of Ottawa, now there will be a 20-game regular season with a three-week playoff system (same as last year)…The 102nd Grey Cup will be held in Vancouver at BC Place Stadium on November 30.
