Rusu to be sworn in as probate judge

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Mahoning County’s next Probate Court judge will be sworn-in to office the day before his predecessor learns his fate in a criminal case.

Attorney Robert Rusu, who was recently appointed to serve the remaining term of Mark Belinky’s judgeship, will take his oath of office on July 8.

Acting Judge Denny Klunk, who has been filling-in since Belinky resigned in March, will preside over the event.

Belinky pleaded guilty in May to one count of records tampering. According to court documents, Belinky failed to disclose information about contributions, expenses and loans from his 2008 election campaign. He will be sentenced July 9.
