Woman dies in St. Clair Township crash

SAINT CLAIR TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Troopers with the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash in Columbiana County.

The accident happened about 12:30 p.m. on Route 30 in Saint Clair Township.

Gwen Blake, 23, of East Liverpool lost control of the minivan she was driving and went off the left side of the road.

The van hit a center concrete wall, went back across the road and flipped over in a ditch, landing on its roof.

Blake was thrown from the vehicle. She was flown to UPMC Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Her passengers, Matthew Randolph, 23, and three children ages 1, 2 and 4 years old were taken to East Liverpool City Hospital where they were treated and released.

All passengers were wearing seat belts and child safety seats were used.

Blake was not wearing a seat belt.
