Niles adds to community festivities with beauty pageant

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — One of the more popular attractions for the crowd at Harry Stevens Hot Dog Day was the return of the Miss Niles Pageant, on the front steps of National McKinley Birthplace Museum.

Six young ladies, ages 14 through 19, competed for the crown, sash, trophy and flowers.

The winner also received a $500 bond and a professional photo shoot.

Earlier in the evening, the Lttle Miss Niles pageant was held, for contestants ages five through eight.
