YPD names suspect in latest murder case

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — YPD is searching for a murder suspect who is connected to two shootings over the weekend.

A lieutenant has indicated that local resident Prince Jennings is the suspect.

Jennings is  wanted in connection with the murder of 33-year-old Shannon Strosnider. Officers found her unresponsive in a home on Tod Lane this weekend. Detectives also analyzed more than a dozen bullet holes in the front door of the house.

Police also have an active warrant out on Jennings for felonious assault for a shooting on Wick avenue Friday afternoon.

Police consider Jennings to be armed and dangerous.

Editor’s note: A grand jury, when presented with the evidence against Jennings, decided not to indict him, and the case him has since been closed, according to court records.
