Body found in creek days after boater went missing

NEAR-DROWNING-AMBULANCE-LAKE-WATER-EMERGENCY

EAST BERLIN, Pa. (AP) – A coroner has been called to a creek in southeastern Pennsylvania where a fisherman went missing after his boat went over a dam.

The York County coroner’s office was dispatched to Conewago Creek in Washington Township on Sunday afternoon.

That happened after witnesses reported finding a body snagged on a fallen tree along the bank of the creek.

It was not immediately clear if the body is that of the fisherman who was last seen Thursday, when his boat went over the dam. But dispatchers say the body was found in the same general area of the creek.
