Easy does it!

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Demolition crews are still working to level the old Kress Building on West Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.

The Youngstown Central Area Community Improvement Corporation (CIC)  said it is on schedule and should be done by mid to late July.

The sidewalk is still closed to pedestrians on that stretch of West Federal.

Because of the massive deconstruction, workers are being careful not to damage any other buildings.

Once the structure is down, the CIC will transfer ownership of the property to the city of Youngstown.

The city plans to turn the space into a parking lot.
