Gas prices down in Youngstown for 4th

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – In the Youngstown area, the average cost for a gallon of regular is just over $3.59 as of Thursday evening, according to AAA’s gas price tracker. Wednesday, the price was about a cent higher.

One week ago, the average price was around $3.66. A month ago, it was $3.78.

The national average Thursday is $3.67.

In the Pittsburgh area, the cost is nearly 30 cents more at $3.85.

Triple A says more than 40 million people will hit the road for the holiday, about 2 percent more than last year.
