Mural to be erected in Warren

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Artwork will soon cover a retainer wall in Warren thanks to a $2,700 grant through the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership.

The mural installation will be put on a retainer wall at the former site of the Mahoningside Power Plant.

The wall is 11 feet tall by 100 feet wide, and it is at the intersection of Summit and Mahoning avenues.

Lisa Ramsey with TNP said it is a great way to help bring artwork to an area of town where a lot of people drive by every day.

“It is wonderful. It is nice to do little things like that here and there through the city,” said Ramsey. “Make it a little brighter, a little more positive place to live.”

Residents can submit their artwork for considered for the mural. Artists can submit up to three scaled pieces of artwork to TNP by the end of the month.
