Changes coming to Salem center

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – Patrons of Salem Community Center can expect some major changes in the coming months.

A $3 million expansion project was recently approved for the center. The project includes a 27,000-square-foot multiplex to house two high school regulation size full basketball courts, a four lane, 160-meter spikable surface running track, batting cage, concessions and additional parking spots.

The plan is to break ground in August and the project should be complete by January 2016.
