Bond set for Youngstown shooting suspect

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man charged in connection to two north side shootings was in court Wednesday answering to felonious assault charges.

Prince Jennings, 29, of Canton was arraigned in Youngstown Municipal Court on charges surrounding a Wick Avenue shooting where police say he shot at another man.

Bond was set at $100,000.

Police believe Jennings is also a suspect in the June 27  shooting of 33-year-old Shannon Strosnider. Strosnider was shot in the leg but later died. She reportedly suffered from a heart condition. That shooting occurred the day after the Wick Avenue shooting and the two are believed to be related. Charges in that case are expected.

Officers with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jennings in Farrell on Tuesday.

Editor’s note: A grand jury, when presented with the evidence against Jennings, decided not to indict him, and the case him has since been closed, according to court records.
