Riders dedicate horse stall in memory of teen

BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A teenager from Bristol who trained horses is being remembered by her friends at this year’s Trumbull County Fair.

GABRIELSONMembers of the 4-H Buckeye Riders dedicated an empty horse stall at the fairgrounds in memory of 18-year-old Cierra Gabrielson. Gabrielson, who was a member of the Midnight Riders and the BSB drill team, died in a car accident in May.

Haliegh Bryant said Cierra loved horses and was one of the best riders around.

“My sister is the one that thought about this idea, and she thought it would be great for everyone to know that we are riding for her every day,” Bryant said.

This Sunday at 11a.m. the group is holding a Walk-Trot benefit to raise money for a scholarship in Cierra’s name. The event will be held at the Saddle Horse Arena.
