Grand jury indicts Ricki Williams in murder of Austintown teen

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Ricki Williams IV in the murder of an Austintown teen.

Williams is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, and intimidation in the stabbing death of 16-year-old Gina Burger.

Police believe Williams fatally stabbed Burger at a Compass West apartment in Austintown June 23, and then carried her body to a dumpster in a child’s crib, forcing a witness to help.

Workers at a landfill in Pine Township, Pa. discovered Burger’s body Wednesday, June 25. Various clues led police back to Williams, whom they arrested the evening of July 1.

Roneishia Johnson was also indicted and charged with obstructing justice in the same case. Police say Johnson helped Williams dispose of Burger’s body.

If convicted, Williams could face the death penalty.
