Alliance man cited in Green Twp. crash

Green Township crash

SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) – An Alliance man has been cited for causing a bad crash earlier this week in western Mahoning County.

It happened early Wednesday at the intersection of Routes 165 and 45 in Green Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Donald Hoover, 20, was driving a pickup and ran through the stop light at the corner.

The truck slammed into a Dodge Neon driven by David Fitch of Salem, who was flown from the scene to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Hoover also was taken to the hospital.

Both men are expected to survive. Hoover was charged with failure to yield from a stop light.
