Hubbard’s Scott commits to Michigan State

Hubbard Running Back L.J. Scott has made his college choice. The Eagles’ All-State standout has verbally committed to play college football at Michigan State.

The First-Team All-Ohioan says he couldn’t wait to deliver the news to the Spartan staff:

“Right after practice I called Coach Dantonio and I told him. He was very excited. And I was excited as well. We had this moment on the phone. I know he had the same moment as me. That moment was too real. I feel like that’s something I always wanted,” Scott said.

The first-ever Junior to win our Big 22 Player of the Year award rushed for over 18-hundred yards, with 25 touchdowns last year at Hubbard.  He says he feels right at home in East Lansing.

“I just felt like fit in really, really well. It was definitely a family-type thing. I’m all about the family-type thing. And the coaching staff, especially the offense.”

Defensively, he finished with two sacks and two interceptions. And he couldn’t wait to deliver the news to the Spartans staff.

Among the schools he also considered: Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, West Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois.
