YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The summer’s Festival of the Arts wrapped up its 16th annual event at Youngstown State University.
People were walking around, enjoying the art and weather earlier in the day.
Many vendors said it’s been a good year for sales and indicated that a mostly nice weekend for weather helped them out.
Hubbard artist Tom Davidson said this is the 13th year he and his wife Nancy have participated in the art festival, and like many years in the past, they’ve seen many art enthusiasts and friends at the same time.
They also said the weather played a big part in the turnout.
“Beautiful day yesterday, the sun, the bright sun. A little warm. But, bad for the vendors but good for the fairgoers. Today it’s a little overcast, but the rain stayed away and we can’t ask for anything more than that,” said Davidson.
Davidson also said that he and other vendors kept a close eye to the weather forecast and that he even took some of his bigger art home, to avoid any potential rain.
