Yo. courthouse trip ends in drug charges for woman

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – What started as a verbal disagreement between two people outside the Mahoning County Courthouse Wednesday ended with a woman being arrested on drug trafficking charges.

The Sheriff’s Department tells us deputies told the woman, Latesha Hines, to move her car.

The man, Charles Allen, didn’t want her to leave, so he threw himself on the hood of the car, according to police.

Deputies then intervened and separated the two, discovering heroin in Hines’ purse.

Hines will face charges for drug trafficking as well as driving with a suspended license.

Allen was then taken to court for a hearing on traffic charges from an unrelated incident, where a judge sentenced him to 15 months in jail.
