Sharon PD finds hit-and-run suspect

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Sharon Police charged a New Castle man Friday in connection with a hit-and-run accident involving a child on a bike, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Police charged Michael Blaskewicz, 31 with accidents involving death or personal injury, failure to render aid and false reports,

Sharon Police were looking for a truck Friday afternoon after witnesses said it hit a child on a bicycle and left the scene without stopping, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Police said they were searching for a black Dodge Durango with a Time Warner Cable placard on its side and two ladder racks holding orange ladders. The child suffered a leg injury and is fine, according to the page.

The department was working with Time Warner Cable, who works with independent contractors, to find the suspect.
