1 dead, 2 injured in Ellwood City shooting

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. (WKBN) – Police in Lawrence County are investigating a deadly shooting.

According to a police report, the Pennsylvania State Police and Ellwood City Police responded to the shooting at the Walnut Ridge Apartments on Loop Street in Ellwood City. Authorities found Rashund Smith and Jessica Jackson at the scene with non-life-threatening injuries and transported both to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Police found Thomas Paris dead in a private vehicle which was taking him away from the scene.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Police believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between Smith and a known female. An investigation is ongoing.
