Warren Police arrest murder suspect

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren Police arrested a man over the weekend in connection with the April shooting death of James Levels in Warren.

Police arrested Michael Settle, 26, of Warren. He is charged with murder and felonious assault.

He was arraigned Monday morning. Bond was set at $150,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31 at 10:15 a.m.

The night of April 7, police arrived at a house in the 900 block of South Street S.E. to find James Levels, 64, dead. Emergency workers had to take Lisa Prater, in her 40s, to Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Both Levels and Prater had suffered gunshot wounds.

The homicide was Warren’s first of 2014.
