Warren gas station site of drive by prayer

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The power of prayer was at work Friday night in Warren at the unlikeliest of places.

People were filling up more than their tanks at Shady’s Gas Station in Warren. Members of Restoration Christian Fellowship were filling people with the Spirit.

For nearly three years, a group called Drive By Prayer has been meeting folks where they are, at gas stations, grocery stores, bringing Christ to them and them to Christ.

“A lot of people want prayer. They do want prayer for themselves, for their families,” said Paula Johnson with Restoration Christian Fellowship. “We just take them to the scripture. Romans 10:9 If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead then you can be saved.”

Their message touched Issac Coker.

“You are going to need him no matter what you do,” Coker said.

Their message of hope, forgiveness and salvation are at the heart of the community ministry.

“He wants us to have abundant life and prosperity and joy and peace and all that good stuff,” said Johnson. “But in order to have that, we have to accept Him into our heart, put Him first, and seek first the Kingdom of God.”
