Boardman home suffers serious damage in fire

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Boardman Fire Department official estimated Monday that fire damage at a house in Boardman Sunday evening would total around $375,000, making the home a total loss.

The official did not tell WKBN what started the fire, which happened at a house near the Boardman-Poland line Sunday evening.

The fire started just after 8 p.m. at a home on Daffodil Trail.

Neighbors indicated that no one was home at the time of the fire and that the family that lives there was out of town.

Boardman, Poland, and Springfield fire crews were all on the scene.
