Kids Identi-Kit campaign hits Columbiana Dunkin’ Donuts

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) — WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community teamed up this weekend with our partner Dunkin’ Donuts to provide Kids Identi-Kits in Columbiana.

Each identi-Kit comes with an ID card and emergency info booklet, complete with height, weight and fingerprint information for each child. More than 50 kids were given a free Identi-Kit and Emergency information booklet.

For managers, the event is also about letting the community know the company cares.

“They’re part of this community and the want to make sure that everybody’s safe and everybody, you know, you come in, you get a good cup of coffee and you know that people care,” said Dunkin’ Donuts’ assistant manager Mike White.

Although keeping kids safe is serious business, signing up for the Identi-Kits can be tedious for the children. To relieve some of the boredom, the coffee shop let kids decorate doughnuts while they waited.
