Woman arrested on burglary charges

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A woman is in jail after she allegedly tried to force her way into her ex-boyfriend’s home on Saturday night.

However, what officers found inside that house could get the man inside into trouble as well.

24-year-old Angelicia Sturkie faces an aggravated burglary charge stemming from the incident.

Neighbors said they saw a woman forcing her way into the Kenmar Court home, and then attacking the man who lives there.

Austintown Police Chief Bob Gavalier said that when officers responded to the initial report of domestic disturbance, they found a pound of marijuana, a few marijuana plants, and some money.

Nearby residents said police had their eye on this house.

“They’ve been watching the house for two years, neighbors have complained about the traffic in and out of here all night long,” said Austintown resident Jeremy Bolha.

The man living at that home was not arrested. Gavalier said they’re still investigating.
