Building evacuated in Bazetta Twp. after gas leak

BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Authorities ordered that a construction site be evacuated Monday afternoon after a gas leak opened in Bazetta Township.

The Bazetta Township Fire Department confirmed the leak, which happened on Elm Road in the township, where a Menard’s home improvement store is being built.

The future site of the Menard’s building, which is the former site of Walmart in Bazetta Township, had to be evacuated.

Elm Road was re-opened around 3 p.m. Monday after being closed because of the leak.
