2 injured in east side crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on the east side of Youngstown.

The accident happened about 1 p.m. Friday at the corner of Himrod Avenue and Jackson Street.

One of the cars was traveling west on Himrod when it collided with another vehicle that ran a stoplight at the intersection.

The impact was so severe; it pushed one of vehicles onto a residential lawn.

Police said the drivers’ injuries appeared minor.
