First Energy trimming trees in Pulaski Township

PULASKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WKBN) – First Energy Power Company is trimming tree limbs in and around Pulaski Township Friday afternoon, prompting some residents to ask what is going on.

According to Pulaski Township Police Officer Chad Adams, the company is trimming back trees from the air using a helicopter to make sure they do not interfere with power lines.

Adams said the department had received several calls asking what the helicopter was doing.

Some trees are easier to trim from the air than from a ground vehicle, according to Adams.
