Grand jury to hear Struthers murder case

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The case of a man accused in a Struthers murder has been bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury.

Roy Cleary, 40, was arrested in the July 16 death of 56-year-old Mark Westfall inside the victim’s Struthers Manor apartment.

Police believe Westfall caught the suspect stealing his prescription medicines which led to a heated argument. Cleary allegedly stabbed the victim more than 30 times.

Cleary was captured by U.S. Marshals at a hospital in Pittsburgh where investigators think he had gone looking for pain medication. He remains jailed on a $500,000 bond.
