Hermitage PD releases sketch of break-in suspect


HERMITAGE, Pa. (WKBN) – Monday, police released a sketch of a man they have labeled as a suspect in a late-July home invasion that sent a woman to the hospital.

Police responded to the 2000 block of Spangler Road about 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, after an intruder forced his way into a house occupied by a lone elderly woman and assaulted her.

The woman was thrown to the floor, struck in the face and cut with a utility knife. Doctors treated her at an area hospital.

The intruder took $5 from the her purse.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his 30s with brown hair and medium build and say he was wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt and khaki pants.
