Second fire on east side in two days

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A late night fire Wednesday in Youngstown is being called suspicious.

Firefighters were called just before midnight to a vacant house in the 200 block of Ayers Street where they found a house fully engulfed in flames.

Crews let the structure burn while protecting other nearby structures.

No one was hurt.

Tuesday night, a house on Stiles Avenue was also allowed to burn down after it caught fire just after 9:30 p.m. That fire is also considered suspicious.

Both fires were on the east side of the city.
