Services set for Niles worker

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Funeral plans have been finalized for a Niles worker who was killed on the job Tuesday.

An OSHA investigation continues surrounding the death of Daniel Banks, 49, of Leavittsburg. Banks was crushed by a piece of machinery at BRT Extrusions in Niles.

A funeral service for Banks is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 N. Park Ave., Warren. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Banks leaves behind a wife and three children.

The OSHA investigation into his death could take up to six months to complete.
