Yo. teens charged with shooting paintballs at cars

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police arrested three teenagers Thursday evening after several drivers complained of being hit by paintballs near the Midlothian Blvd. exit of Interstate 680, according to a police report.

Police had received multiple reports of paintballs hitting cars in the area Wednesday and Thursday.

Upon arriving at the scene, one officer found three young males hiding in the brush along the side of the highway and questioned them. The boys admitted to shooting the paintballs, according to the report, saying they arrived at that spot on foot, coming through the woods from Shirley Road.

The report stated that while officers were at the scene, several people showed up claiming their cars were hit by paintballs as well.

Police took all three males to jail and charged them with discharging a firearm within city limits and vehicular vandalism.
