CANFIELD (WKBN) — The Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol will hold a pair of OVI checkpoints Saturday night and Sunday in Youngstown.

The first runs from 9 p.m. to midnight on state Route 7 at Chicago Avenue. The second runs from midnight to 3 a.m. on South Avenue at Dewey Avenue.

Both checkpoints are being held in conjunction with saturation patrols to combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
Federal grants are used to pay for the extra patrols.

Youngstown police will be participating as well.
