Meth lab busted in Leetonia

Leetonia meth lab bust

LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – The Columbiana County Drug Task Force broke up a meth lab Monday evening in Leetonia.

According our print partner the Lisbon Morning Journal, agents raided the home at 193 Chestnut St. around 5 p.m. They spent three hours in the home collecting items from the lab, which was discovered in the basement.

Items recovered included a one-pot lab, generators and chemicals used in the production of crystal methamphetamine.

“The Drug Task Force and everybody does the best that they can to fight the illegal drug trafficking. We have it here in Leetonia. We are not exempt from it here even though we are a small village. We have our drug problems here, too,” said Leetonia Police Chief John Soldano.

There were three adults at the house when the raid took place, but charges are pending in the case as investigators wait for lab results.

The raid culminated an eight-month investigation.
