Water bill increases coming to Youngstown customers

Upgrades coming to Youngstown water treatment plant

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Water customers in Youngstown will soon be paying more for service.

A two percent increase will be implemented for the next 20 years to fund upgrades at the waste water distribution center.

The Environmental Protection Agency has also ordered the city to make improvements to the way it handles runoff from Mill Creek Park.

The upgrades will cost about $147 million.
