FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) – The Southwest Regional Police Department is investigating a suspected arson.

Crews responded to a fire about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Broadway Avenue in Farrell.

The building was not occupied but was being used for storage.

A portion of the building will have to be demolished which is forcing a road closure.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Roemer Boulevard and Federal Street was closed for several hours. A dispatcher told WKBN that the fire was put out and the street re-opened for traffic as of 11:50 a.m. Wednesday.

No one was hurt in the fire.
