Man crashes twice within five minutes

HOWLAND, Ohio  (WKBN) – A Howland man is facing numerous charges after a vehicle he was driving ended up in someone’s front yard.

Late Wednesday morning, Nicholas D. Gilmore, 25, of Raglan Drive N.E., drove a van into the front yard of another home on the same street. About five minutes before that crash, police said Gilmore collided with a vehicle on nearby state Route 46.

Gilmore was charged with failing to keep an assured clear distance, hit-skip, failure to control, driving under suspension, not wearing a seat belt, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

No one was injured in either collision.
