Motorcyclist killed in Boardman crash

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Poland man has died from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident in Boardman Wednesday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Anthony Scarnecchia, 59, was killed when his Honda motorcycle collided with a Jeep Wrangler around 9 p.m. on Route 224 at Hitchcock Road in Boardman.

Police said a 16-year-old girl was driving the Jeep. The motorcycle hit the Jeep as it was turning south onto Hitchcock Road.

Scarnecchia died at the hospital an hour later.

Investigators are working to piece together exactly what happened before any charges are filed.
