Salem coffee shop co-owner pleads guilty to pot possession

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – The co-owner of a Salem coffee shop pleaded guilty to drug possession charges Wednesday after authorities said they found nearly five pounds of marijuana at his home in the fall of 2013.

Peter Lynch, 53, who partially owns Friends Roastery in Salem, appeared in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Wednesday.

The Columbiana County Drug Task Force said it found around five pounds of marijuana and a semi-automatic gun when they raided his house Oct. 1.

Assistant County Prosecutor Tammie Riley Jones said she will recommend a nine-month term in prison for Lynch, a six-month license suspension and a $5,000 fine, according to WKBN’s print partner, The Morning Journal.
