Vandals hit Boardman church

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A local church cleaned up Thursday after vandals damaged windows and lights at the facility.

Four exterior lights and eggs were thrown at the windows of Heritage Presbyterian Church along Matthews Road.

Reverend Kristin Stroble said church members pitched in to help clean up.

“People came out in droves willing to help clean up and wash windows and doors and get our church back in shape,” Stroble said.

Stroble said the drivers in the area have been frustrated over the work to the round-about on Matthews road. In fact, they had to block off part of their parking lot to protect people walking in the area.

A damage estimates from the vandals was about $1,000.
