AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Friday, an Austintown Deputy Clerk authorized charges against a man who police say wandered into another man’s apartment naked and punched an officer.

Austintown Court Deputy Clerk Teresa Drummond authorized charges of assault, resisting arrest, public indecency and burglary against Alex Kotch, 21, Friday, according to court documents, after police said they found him naked lying on another man’s bed early Thursday morning.

According to a police report, a man called Austintown Police after he said Kotch entered his unlocked apartment while naked and told him he was on acid.

The man said he left the apartment and called police, who found Kotch on the man’s bed, repeatedly saying he wanted to go to heaven and be with Jesus, according to the report.

The report further states that when officers tried to get Kotch to put on a pair of sweat pants, he took them off, then swung at and struck an officer.

An ambulance arrived and took Kotch to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

A call made to a phone number listed for Kotch on the police report was not immediately returned.
