YFD welcomes new Lieutenants

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Youngstown Fire Department is proud in announce four new Lieutenants to the ranks.

Chad Manchester, John Carbon, Terrance Gamble and David Cisine all raised their right hands as they were promoted to their new positions by Mayor John McNally.

The men replace officers who have retired, bringing the department back to a full staff.

The ceremony took place in front of a crowd of family and friends.

“It was nice to have all the family members here. I think it’s really important, that family support, they’ve got a tough job and a lot to do and a lot of responsibility,” said Youngstown Fire chief John O’Neill.

O’Neill said another 10 to 15 officers are set to retire in the next 18 months.
