Car show benefits local cancer patient

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) — From wings to wheels, North Lima was a good place to be on Sunday if you’re into classic cars.

More than 100 vehicles were entered in this car show, at Mr. Darby’s Antique Collectible Emporium.

A handful of area businesses partnered to put on the show, which is also a way to help Debbie Grover, a Canfield woman battling cancer.

“It’s a very tough circumstance to be going through and we are all of our hopes and prayers are going to the family,” said organizer Eugene Johnson.

Johnson said it took about a month and a half to plan for the event. They raised nearly $4,000 and had about 150 cars participating.

Those proceeds will help Grover pay off her home.
