Suspect in Youngstown murder in custody

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A murder suspect is in custody as U.S. Marshals picked up Wesley J. Blackshear early Sunday.

He is charged with aggravated murder in the May 24 shooting death of 34-year-old Brendon Moorer of Campbell.

Moorer’s body was found in a vehicle parked outside the Big Apple gas station at McGuffey Road and Albert Street. He suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Blackshear is also charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of having weapons under disability.
