Body of NW Pa. kayaker found

PARTANSBURG, Pa. (AP) – Search teams have found the body of a northwestern Pennsylvania kayaker who was missing.

State police identified the man as 51-year-old Thomas W. Erickson of Titusville. His body was found early Tuesday afternoon in Clear Lake, the Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/1sSW3O0 ) reports. That’s about 120 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Authorities say Erickson was fishing from the kayak and wasn’t wearing a life preserver. He was reported missing Monday evening.
