Board member seeks probe of Trumbull health commissioner

Trumbull County

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Trumbull County Board of Health member Dr. Marisha Agana announced her request Wednesday for a state investigation of Trumbull County Health Commissioner Dr. James Enyeart.

Agana announced the request at a public meeting Wednesday night. She said she wanted the investigation to be state-led and independent.

Among the matters Agana raised in a letter dated Tuesday to Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio Auditor David Yost is the number of hours worked by Enyeart, whose contract requires him to work at least 24 hours per week, according to WKBN print partner The Tribune Chronicle.

A copy of the letter was provided to the Tribune Chronicle and can be seen here.

The Tribune also reported that Enyeart did not want to comment on Agana’s claims other than saying that they are part of a claim which he and Frank Migliozzi, director of environmental health, filed against two local business owners, saying they damaged Enyeart and Migliozzi’s reputations.
